Ok, thought I would make a series of tweets on the hot topic now - Fantasy Cricket. Now that most are into it I would put up what I know and some new things I have come up with.

To start with, there are two modes, the Daily Challenge mode and the Fantasy mode. Since the former is the hottest of the two I would begin with that. This further has two varieties, the Head-to-head and the Mega contests(or whatever you call). Again I will begin with the former.

I wouldn't personally recommend Head-to-head contests as your chances of winning is 50%(basic probability) but your win percentage has to be close to 60 to even recover what you have put in. So actually you would never end up coming out with a good amount unless...

you are playing big H2H contests (the risk coming with it are high too). But i would say this risk is worth taking as you would end up taking out a really good amount.

Again you could play small H2H and even have a good winning streak but if you put your winnings in a big H2H contest again your chances of losing is 50%(okay positively 50% chances of winning too). The other guy might win this but lose his next(no you can't go on winning). But...

one guy who always ends up on the winning side are the websites. It's a complete win-win for them. Okay if I have bored you with already what you know, I will straight head to my little tips for H2H

1)Enter d contest at d earliest(2or
3 days b4) becaz d other guy might forget it nd could end up having a player who is not in d playing XI(even 2-3 in RCB matches) or miss d toss factor nd d pitch report
2)H2H is all about playing it safe. So ur Captain nd VC should b safe bets

Now d Mega Contests where u could end up winning Maxwell's of money(depends on contest sizes). Yeah d chances r little but u still have one. With very huge number of teams entering on top of d preset teams with all combinations by d respective websites it is tough, no doubt.

And already you might know the trick too - to select "out of the box" players and make them Captain and VC. Yeah it works and has done wonders too. But now with very huge number of teams there could easily be 1000s of teams with same Captain and VC.

So with the same Captain and VC you could end up 100-200 ranks below the first ranked team or even just 1-2 places below(but winnings wise there's a huge difference) because of the other combinations.

So I have come up with a new strategy (would be the first time you hear this). If you are entering a contest with 5 teams, 3-4 teams should have the same Captain and VC. So it is like you have to build your teams around your Captain and VC with different combinations.

The other 1-2 teams is just to save you in case if it goes awfully wrong and atleast have a chance to recover something.

Positives from the above - If already you had .01 chances of winning now it's .04 which is 4 times than before(on your day.)
Negatives - you could be losing money daily if it doesn't click. Yeah you could even lose 59 matches but remember IPL has got 60.

Ok now some common tips for both H2H nd Mega contests.
1) Search for that big player who is on a streak of flops. It could be his day
2) No 2 batters or bowlers from the same team as Captain and VC (could be a safe bet for H2H as one of them could click but not for big contests)

3) Rare a player is going to have 2 consecutive good days, so MOM in the previous match need not be your Captain for the next.
4) Toss and pitch report do matter. Do pay attention to them.

Yes I have shared all what I know nd what new I have come up with. Now all I am waiting for is ur responses. This would motivate me to do d same for Fantasy mode. I'm not tagging any big accounts bt if you come across this do give a shout-out. U never know how much it means to me
