On September 25th, 2018, we launched the BBC's LGBT Sport Podcast.

If we're honest, we thought we'd only last a few months.

But we kept finding amazing stories to tell - and today, as we publish our second anniversary episode, we'd thought we'd share some highlights.

If you like numbers, this Tweet is for you.

Since the podcast launched two years ago, there have been:

🔹 125 episodes
🔹 133 different guests
🔹 42 different sports
🔹 3110 minutes of content

That's a whole load of amazing LGBTQ+ folk getting a platform to tell their story.
Those episodes include people at the absolute top of their game, including:

🔹 14 Olympians and Paralympians
🔹 World Cup winning players and coaches
🔹 World record holders
🔹 An Olympic Head Judge and a World Cup Final referee

Chatting to these folk has been a privilege.
Most of us access sport at the grassroots level, so we've also been focused on spotlighting those stories, including:

🔹 Supporters groups, clubs and events like Football Pride
🔹 Tournaments like the Union Cup and the Bingham Cup
🔹 One-off challenges like the Tour De Trans
We've managed to amplify LGBTQ+ voices in sport by linking up with other amazing organisations like @SportsMediaLGBT, who are working equally hard (if not harder!) to give the community a voice at the table.

And we've got to go to some fancy awards along the way!
Most importantly, I hope we've managed to show that sport is for everyone, and that who you love or how you live your life should never stop you from belonging.

Because for two years, we've been introducing you to LGBTQ folk in sport at all levels who are absolutely smashing it.
If what we've done has resonated or made a difference with you, that's amazing, and hopefully we'll keep getting to do it for a while yet.

But trust me, it would *never* have got this far without your support - and I can't thank you enough for that.
