The traces of hamon left in Johnathan's body were akin to an annoying poison to DIO, but neutralized the imbalance in Caesar's own. Therefore, he can freely roam during the day and can still harness hamon, to a certain extent.

The main setback is: if he utilizes too much hamon consecutively―or goes extended periods of time without using any at all―he flares up into fevers.

Caesar cannot feel any sensation of heat, aside from the effects produced by hamon-induced fevers.

Unlike DIO (and most other vampires), Caesar is incapable of simply jabbing a finger into a living being to extract their blood; he must pierce their flesh with his fangs and ingest blood with that method.

It is also to be noted that it is necessary to ingest blood directly from the source, otherwise his body will just reject the substance and it will be coughed back out.

As a moral choice, he does not feed from animals.
