So it's OBVIOUS something is inside of his ear here and it is covering up the inner ear and the ear canal.

Now from what I guess is his 'good' side:

Clear lighting right into the ear, there SHOULD be a little round hole there but there's not.

Even in LOWER LIGHTING from that angle you should be able to see the ear canal.
