Why on Earth are we enduring all sorts of nonsense to make onsite university teaching work properly and safely, just so you can go and spit in eachother mouths at Club Chem (but only until 10pm!)
Shut the bloody clubs. I can almost predict which courses will have their outbreaks first too; it’ll map directly onto the “using the library as a social club” part of the student body.
I am 100% here for students from an educational POV but the Drinky Shaggy bit of student culture needs to be put to bed until this is over; drunk 18 year olds shouldn’t be charged with each others safety re: a virus which can leave them w/ lifelong health problems. FFS.
This in response to a Canterbury Club moaning about the 10pm curfew... You shouldn’t be open at all, and I swear to god if one student who doesn’t even drink or go clubbing catches it because of interacting with people who have been to your shitty clubs...
