So as promised, a little introductory thread to French Rap and hip hop for my non-french friends and comrades. Keep in mind I'm no expert just an aficionada so les français soyez indulgents and feel free to reply with music that you find relevant.
I'm gonna share a little old school 90's french rap, 2000s rap and more recent rap which I am a bit more familiar with.
Also more than french rap this is gonna be rap francophone, so it might include some Belgian and Caribbean rappers altho I'm more familiar with French ones
Also Quebecois please don't hate me I know virtually nothing about Quebec rap so feel free to reply with suggestions

I'll start with Kery James, cause all you leftists might like him, he's a Haitian and French rapper who would fit into what we call "rap conscient", which is a more politically engaged form of rap that I would describe as heavier social and political commentary...
