So...

...I’m on Twitter.

Anyone that knows me will know there’s a reason.

I’ll explain.

Football faces an existential crisis due to #COVID19, not helped by piss poor regulations and owners running big losses prior to this pandemic. As an industry we are weak because...
...the belief is that football should blow every penny available at all times, leaving little wool on clubs backs for times like these.

@ASFCofficial resigned from the league in 1962 having gone skint. It would be good to have a blow by blow account of that because mistakes...
...must have been made. It would be something to learn from.

Anyhow.

I always look at a range of outcomes when budgeting. This makes me prepared for anything that happens within the ranges planned for.

The range of outcomes for football is too wide now.

It ranges from...
...a government bailout to the collapse of the entire pyramid.

My central view is that there will be some assistance, but no golden bullet, and @ASFCofficial will be ok.

It is easy to see the other extreme, if clubs start falling over rendering competition hopeless, followed..
...by a rapid loss of TV cash for @premierleague and @EFL

There are going to be hard decisions to be taken, some decisions will depend on our supporters collective point of view.

I will discuss and debate this with you all on here, so that I can have your feedback. Many..
...decisions may depend on what we feel as a group.

For example, we might choose to protect our stadium above all else. It’s ours and it’s paid for. That way, we will always have our home to rebuild from.

Valuation has been carried out at arms length earlier in the year..
...to give us the option.

As I said my central view is that there will be some assistance we will be ok.

If this view changes you’ll know.

I will keep you updated.

Come on Stanley!!!
