Law exists in India only for the powerful to terrorize the weak. Never for the weak to get justice. The entire judicial system is overloaded with backlogs of cases. What hope can anyone without “connections” have for justice?

The whole drug policy is bonkers anyway. The issue is not just with criminalization of minor drugs. There are many no-victim crimes that are criminalized in Indian statute books. One should admire the sheer buffoonery of the judicial system, pretending to enforce all these laws.

This ridiculous situation will become clear only when we see that the judicial system in India, stemming from the British Raj, was never about bringing justice to Indians. It is about establishing power of an elite class on the laity. For that purpose, it’s working well indeed.
