My boy just told me that his new client, a white female doctor, whom he’s representing in a child custody case, asked him if he passed the Bar, before she would sign the retainer.

I PROMISE TO GOD.

Initially, he didn’t mention her race. I asked was she Black?! He responded.
He said the question was so absurd that he wanted to ask her if she passed her Boards.

It did not occur to him that the question may have been racially motivated until I asked about her race. He literally omitted it because he just thought it was stupid.

Nah, bro.
The kids she’s trying to get custody of are her bi-racial (Black and White) grandchildren.

I now understand why she wants a Black attorney, despite her obvious bias: optics.
The mom of the kids, her daughter, passed away. Their dad now has them.

She wants to get custody of the kids from the Black father who lives in the ‘hood’ in an area that she considers to be dangerous etc.
I’m starting to wonder if she’s even a real doctor.

Maybe she asked because she’s a fraud herself.
