The GOP has literally never had a health care plan beyond let corporations profit and individuals suffer. They've spent millions in attorneys fees defending that position while millions campaigning the other direction. IT IS ALL A GRIFT YET HERE WE ARE https://twitter.com/drvox/status/1308509725596594176
Fun fact one of my earlier jobs back when I was an academic and before I was a journalist was tracking the ACA in committee and through to passage.

Let me tell you there was never a Republican plan
My first published pieces were all about explaining what the ACA *might* be; what it *could* be and what it *ended up* being.

Related: I am tired.
The ACA fight is so woven into my personal narrative as a journalist... at one point I had to drive home to Omaha to help my dad recover from his first heart attack while debate was happening.

I was tracking Stupak-Pitts from the TV in his kitchen while prepping meals
For those who might not remember, that was the fight about whether or not the ACA was going to cover abortion

Spoiler: it doesn't
Anyway, going to be wonderful to work that anecdote into my piece explaining how the Trump Court just struck the ACA but never fear the legislative process will save the day ☠️
I mean yes it can, but have you met Congress?
Whooo boy I'm apparently in a mood tonight 😂😂
The moral of that story is, to quote @AngryBlackLady: Abortion is healthcare, motherfuckers!
One more point since I'm in the mood to make them:

A reason the GOP has been so focused on repealing the ACA; undercutting the ACA; and making every bad faith argument it can against it is because the ACA is a key piece of civil rights legislation
