And he isn't on an island in this. Ryan knew, & swore them to secrecy. In fact, an interjection here...Citizens United was passed for the express purpose of allowing donations to be made in secrecy. Dark koney. Politicians started laundering money, knowingly or not.
So, to summarize so far, trump has been mobbed up his entire life, is in debt to Russia (& China among others), Russia is the mob now. The circumstantial evidence is overwhelming, & it's not even all circumstantial. The mob wants favors, what's he going to do, say no?

Remember Rex Tillerson? Third tweet in this thread. Trump didn't even know him. Wasn't on his radar. Did zero vetting of the man. Does that sound like trump? This was not a fox news pundit. This was the only American Putin ever gave a "Friend of Russia" medal to.
Trump didn't need to vet him, because Putin wanred him there. That was actually a Putin miss...he didn't count on Rex being an American first. You can dislike Rex all you want, but he was put in place to lift those sanctions & did his best to stay out of the way.
Left & Right have botched about @Comey. He was a career FBI who was doing his best to protect America. Did he make mistakes? Maybe, but when trump asked for his loyalty, asked him to back off Flynn...knowing what you now know about trump being mobbed up...this was the start of...

Btw, in that meeting in the WH w/ Lavrov, trump gave up top secret intelligence that compromised an Israeli operative. He also later gave up one of OUR deepest operatives in the Russian government, that the CIA had to scramble to extricate.
How can you not conclude that trump answers to Putin? Everything since has only re-enforced this. Who else is in this chain? Well, Erdogen is. Netanyahu is. Nigel Firage is. McConnell is. And if you understand how the mob does business, you can spot plenty more.
