Everything I love about Crimson Flower (a thread)
-It is the only route that is unlocked via a choice besides the class you teach, the way it impacts Byleth's characterization, being the route they regain a heartbeat as well as the route they gain their blue hair.
-It is the only route in which all of your students stay together thus making a route where it feels like you're coming back to old friends instead of following duty, it's a scenario not seen in fire emblem yet.
-the way it has unique dialogue for 99% of the monastery explorations makes it a route where you're incentivized to look for information as well as a route where the context of previous routes is absolutely necessary
-as well as unique battle dialogue many characters have reasons to join, it truly feels parallel to the events of everything else because of this
-the way Edelgard's character is shown in her supports and story made her one of the best protagonist fire emblem has seen, from the way her development is alluded to in her B support which is CF only, to how it fits into her character in CF as a whole is magnificent.
-the way the antagonist is Rhea, someone who is relevant since White Clouds make her one of the most recurring antagonists of the entire plot instead of going poof narrative wise, her actions portray someone at her limit and I enjoy that
-the way it does a summary of all pre-estabilished concepts in SS, AM and VW with Byleth's heartbeat, the Tragedy of Duscur and Dimitri's mindset and Claude's dreams make it feel like a grand finale to the entire game.
-the way it's timeskip has drastically different maps, having the Bridge of Myrddin start from a different place, Arianrhod having a boss now in the opposite side of the map instead of to the side make it feel challenging, same with the endgame, not to mention Tailtean feels-
like a FE4 map, having multiple goals and bosses as well as how the maps play into symbolism and multiple meanings, with historical locations showcasing the Empire and the Church's influence on Fodlan's history.
-the way TWSITD are built up every map make them have a presence and feel like a threat, because here, we know they're more than just Shambhala, the endings dealing with them feel earned, even if I wish CF had a dlc expansion to deal with them.
