Hi there random person scrolling through Twitter! Before I say anything, I want to tell you to read the whole thing before scrolling by. This thread is basically just about.. #mentalhealth I guess (Pre-written thread)
(1/9)
So basically.. There are many people out there with mental health issues, potentially myself included. There are many people who hide their struggles from those closest to them, again, myself included. But please just #bethere for your friends, and make sure they’re ok.
(2/9)
You have no idea what they might be going through, so a simple “how are you” and “are you sure” if they respond with “yea, I’m fine” is good enough! It just shows that you care about them. It shows that they have #support from the people they love.
(3/9)
If they know that you #care, they may open up to you slowly, eventually. You build that crucial trust that is so necessary in all relationships – friends, lovers, family. It shows you care, and that they can trust you with this information.

There are friends that I want to talk to, but I haven’t spoken to in months, properly at least, and I will probably do it tomorrow. I’ll try to suck up the courage to talk to them. How this relates to this thread…
(5/9)
It’s the fact that I still care about them, and that I have struggles talking/making conversation with people I haven’t talked to in a while.
(6/9)
Everyone has their #struggles, and chances are, they’ll have some sort of #mentalhealth problem that they may never have opened up about before.
(7/9)
The moral of this thread is basically just to look out for your friends. If you feel like something’s up with them, GO MAKE SURE THEY’RE OK!!! Even if your other friends don’t look like anything’s wrong with them, check up on them too. You never know what you might discover
