Can we please stop with the "people are burned out on Zoom" takes? You think most people weren't burned out on meetings before COVID hit? I'd much rather have meet on Zoom--transactions costs are near zero, and there is much less time wasted in Zoom than in-person meetings.
You know that guy who "agrees with 95% of what's been said so far," but has a pointless little 5% to add? He tends to be a lot more hesitant to add his useless $0.02 on Zoom, because Zoom has the upside of amplifying self-consciousness.
Oh hey, @Nick_Carnes_, à propos of nothing, do you still have weekly (sometimes more!) faculty meetings now that it's all on Zoom, and do they still last the full 90 minutes every time?
