I've been thinking a lot about why #TTRPG designers are unnecessarily cruel to each other on social media over petty rules shit instead of disagreeing politely or just scrolling by. I think it's because hot takes are rewarded with likes, comments, and follows. (1/3)
I often see people making arguments I agree with, but I can't engage because they're being so over the top shitty about someone else. We can disagree AND not be assholes to each other. It might mean fewer internet points, but you also won't be a jerk. (2/3)
This statement made with the usual disclaimer of those who are doing actual harm should be called out and not have feelings spared. Not everything is a matter of justice, especially if its a couple white dudes trying to dunk on each other over inspiration mechanics. (3/3)
