can we talk about how Beyoncé uses social issues for clout?

a thread
we all know beyonce was the “token black girl”, she never spoke up on serious issues and never put her word in politics.

she would just make her songs and pretend that nothing was happening
During 2013, the rise for the blm movement started with the killing of unarmed black men
all of a sudden, in 2016 beyonce performs at the super bowl in black panther attire, and soon after drops the pro black controversial single “formation”

why was beyonce pro black all of a sudden?
due to the controversy at the time, formation and the album “lemonade” that followed after became very successful, debuting with 600k in its first week and being certified 3x platinum.
karma would eventually bite back at beyonce, as this “pro-black” stint started not working anymore.
in 2019, beyonce dropped “brown skin girl” which was an obviously pro black single which featured her daughter Blue Ivy. The song went on to become a flop peaking at #76 and lacking in certification.
and later that year, beyonce dropped the solo track “spirit”. Despite a huge disney push, the track only peaked at #98 and has yet to receive a certification.
and even worse, in summer of 2019, beyonce dropped “the gift” soundtrack. This soundtrack was a huge flop despite having humongous disney push. it peaked at #4 in the us with 52k copies, and only sold 949 copies in the uk
fast forward to 2020, beyonce hops onto various remixes desperate for a hit.
she releases the solo “black parade” which bombed... despite heavy spotify playlisting and disney push, only peaking in the top 40 of the hot 100
this comes to the conclusion that beyoncé’s career is OVER. no matter how many stints she does she will no longer have the success she used to have. R.I.P beyoncé’s career.
welp the fleahive found this. this is muted have fun talking to a wall❤️
