No. Obsession with "productivity" is ableist, bad for your sanity, brutally Calvinistic, cruelly capitalistic. No! https://twitter.com/Fox0x01/status/1308378762678079488
Just because I research #infosec doesn't mean I have to assume the toxic "values" of Silicon Valley.

You need time to rest and stare at a wall for your sanity. I am so ashamed that so many in my industry have liked and RTed that tweet... https://theoutline.com/post/2595/productivity-is-dangerous
I absolutely should not obsess with getting money, making my rich bosses richer, or "acquiring skills" for doing the former every waking minute.

You know what? I do the work I need to do to afford my lifestyle and then I STOP. I chill out. Relax. Enjoy life...
I'm very lucky that I can afford a "middle class" life on 15 hours of work per week. But if I took Silicon Valley "hustle" culture to heart, I'd be like, "Don't stop there! Grind, grind, grind! Be a multimillionaire by 40!" Fuuuuuck you. No!
Of course, people who are very poorly paid ("essential workers") often have to work 60-80 hours per week at multiple part time jobs just to pay their rent.

These people are victims of capitalistic exploitation. The "hussle" should NOT be celebrated.
Most disabled people live in poverty because if you're not born into wealth, you're expected to be "productive" (make your rich bosses richer) in order to survive. And disabled people aren't considered "productive."

Not born wealthy and can't wage slave?! Be homeless, go hungry!
So no. Fuck, fuck, fuck this productivity bullshit. I'm a human, not a machine. Life is to be enjoyed. Productivity obsession is felating your goddamn boot. Bootlicker!
