I’d like to see the @ottawacity’s plan to ensure this bylaw is enforced equitably and not disproportionately impact the most vulnerable in our community. #ottcity cc: @JimWatsonOttawa https://twitter.com/cbcottawa/status/1308483763362504709">https://twitter.com/cbcottawa...

Apparently, the City of Ottawa is prepared to fine people who do not get medical treatment if their symptoms worsen. Not sure I can see how this could possibly be a justified limitation on someone’s freedom of religion or liberty interests.
If I go to a testing centre because I have a symptom or have been in close contact am I violating the bylaw by potentially exposing others and not self isolating? If I don’t take the route to the testing centre least likely to not expose others, can I be fined?
The imposition of laws that severely restrict people’s liberty require notice & citizens deserve to be well informed of the laws that govern them. Publishing this bylaw as it comes into force without a major info campaign is almost as problematic as the breadth of the law itself.
