Why? Because, *IMO* they are pushing in a Justice under the guise of abortion but, again, it's not about abortion. Trump will NOT nominate anyone who does commit to rule in his favor regarding the election. He said as much in his rally.
This is about saving their asses.

If they contest the election results or when their cases are brought before the Supreme Court, they want their person in place to save their asses.
