in dear my friend, yoongi says "아직도 여전히 니가 난 그립고 또 그립네" (still, as ever, i miss you and i miss you) and this sentence is incredibly emotional and devastating for two reasons:

(an educational thread ♡˖꒰ᵕ༚ᵕ⑅꒱)
1) there& #39;s a few ways of saying "still", like simply saying "아직", but instead yoongi used 아직*도*" which adds anger/disappointment.

If you were to ask a friend about their old crush you& #39;d say "oh, you still like them?". This still would be 아직.
But if you asked about their toxic ex, you& #39;d say "oh, you /still/ like them?", that still would be 아직도.

Given the context of the song, we can tell why Yoongi chose that word. It& #39;s heavier; he& #39;s mad about the fact that he still misses this person.
2) As we all know, the most common way to say "I miss you" is saying "보고 싶다" which literally translates to "I want to see (you)", but here Yoongi uses another verb, 그립다.

This also means "to miss" but it implies a deeper emotion, a sense of longing for something.
Also, notice the verb ending. "그립네" suggests he& #39;s just realizing now how he feels, almost like he& #39;s talking to himself.
If you got a question wrong in your test, when checking the answer sheet youd say "ah, so it was this one, huh?". -네 has a similar feeling, but it& #39;s subtle.
We can come to the conclusion that Yoongi feels haunted by the memories of his friend, that missing him feels like a sort of torture because it& #39;s intense (그립다), yet negative (아직도).

He hates that he can& #39;t fully let go, that he still wonders about the what if& #39;s.
That& #39;s a sentiment he expresses throughout the whole song, starting from the original title: 어땠을까.

"How would it be?"
