Thinking today about people who started new jobs since March. Not only did they start work in the new all-remote era, they also did so amid great upheaval and stress due to the pandemic, economic downturn, racial justice reckoning, and more. 1/3
Have new hires really been onboarded to corporate culture? (IS there a palpable culture, if your org switched to all-remote?) Do they know who to go to? Are they making professional friendships at work? Are they getting ample support? Do they feel comfortable asking Q's? 2/3
And if your org had layoffs before or after they started, you should be even MORE mindful to take care of your new hires. Have they already switched teams/managers? Do they have survivor guilt? Is morale low? Take extra good care of your new hires. 3/3
