I'm finally making my thread about MHA!
Just to preface, I'll only focus on the manga past S4 (so spoilers ofc) since that was new content for me.
I could talk about a thousand moments from the manga, but to keep the thread short, I made a 5x5 to capture my favorite moments

Next up, here's my ranking of each arc in MHA (from the start) as well as a MHA character tierlist. I only did characters I really like or characters that are really relevant to the current story
Ok now for the actual content.
I'll go chronologically starting with Joint Training:
I'm not a big fan of this arc and I disliked most of the fights, however it did amazing things for Shino's character. Also the Bakugo moments as well as Deku unlocking blackwhip were incredible

Now on to MVA.
I adore basically everything in this arc, it has my favorite chapter in the series, and it develops some of my favorite characters.
starting with Toga, I just love how Hori starts showing the link between quirks and personality, and how dangerous that can be.

Society tries to put everybody in boxes they call "normal", but quirks like Toga's, which involves drinking blood, will never be seen as such. Rather than forcing her to be "normal", if Toga had been accepted for who she is, she could've avoided turning to murder to use her quirk
Now for Twice.
His story was heartbreaking (and my 2nd fav), as bad luck and loneliness pushed him to making copies of himself just so he had someone to talk to. Naturally this collapsed, and Twice no longer knew if he was the original, and he stopped trusting himself entirely

I love that Giran advised Twice to find people who trust him. Since Twice doesn't trust himself, when he finds people that trust him, he cherishes them. That's why seeing Twice learn he's the original and that he has to protect Toga is one of my favorite moments in all the manga
Now for shigaraki.
There's so much to talk about, but I'll just say his backstory is my favorite chapter and I was absolutely blown away. I don't think I need to explain why, you can just look at this panel lol

I will take note of 2 things though.
First I want to say I don't blame Shigaraki's dad. I think he's a surprisingly well written character who was hurt by Nana's actions and could never understand them. He's wrong for taking it out on Shiggy and it creates a vicious cycle

Second I want to say Shiggy was right. Hori literally shows from Chapter 1 how society depends too much on heroes and All Might. Instead of helping they just wait for heroes to come. Unfortunately for Shiggy, they never came and it made him realize how broken the system is
The end of MVA was exceptional btw, with Shigaraki embracing his destructive powers, forcing Re-Destro to submit, and gaining Machia's loyalty
Endeavor Agency was a great arc, but I'll just highlight Endeavor's growth. I also thought the sequence with Todoroki, Bakugo, and Deku racing to save Natsuo was so awesome to read
Onto the current arc. This arc has too many amazing moments (most of them are shown in the mosaic) so instead of analyzing it I'll just point out cool things I found and questions I have.
First, I thought i saw some nice parallels here to HxH

Next I just want to say how totally invested I am in Dabi's identity. He was so confident when confronting Hawks and saying that Hawks should've worried about him the most. The blacked out text bubble was so incredible
Lastly I'll say Hori had me scared shitless here. He keeps playing with my heart, for a second I thought Aizawa lost his quirk. He's so brutal for having Aizawa and Mirio be target for quirk loss since they care about Eri the most. I adore that aizawa thought about eri here
That's all I have for now, sorry for failing at keeping this thread short
I really enjoyed this read, especially post S4 where I found so many peaks. my rating is 9.5/10 as a whole, but this current arc is literally 11/10 and it could bump MHA to a 10.
thanks for reading!
