This is just clownery at this point. https://twitter.com/icecube/status/1308130655637626881
Here's the part nobody told O'shea, apparently: BW are the the voting bloc that moves shit.

We've been the largest growing voting demo over the last 20 years and we're the most active. We're also the most likely to engage others to vote.
So the question really should be, what are Black men doing to ensure OUR interests are protected in November? Because "what will either party to do earn our vote" is how 13% of y'all voted for this clown we got in office right now.
I saw people asking "Why doesn't Bloomberg...."
Welp, looks like he's stepping up. Or at least in the process of doing s. https://twitter.com/logan48227/status/1308454983856263169?s=20
I was talking to someone about this the other day; that the original civil rights generation did such a good job of teaching us that the things they fought for were ours by right, we forgot we have to ACTIVELY work to keep those benefits in place. https://twitter.com/StrongRob12/status/1308457000070787072?s=20
This is actually America's problem in general right now. Folks think it runs on autopilot. Alot of it is rigged, sure. But the experiment is in a spiral, and I'm so confused about how people can see how quickly things have regressed in 4 years and still be like ...
The people electing not to vote probably don't know half the VRA was already dismantled during the Obama presidency, which is how the south has been able to wile the fck out with voter disenfranchisement (they can change election laws with no federal approval)...
...so when this 6-3 1930's ass supreme court has us back to taking tests at polling sites to be able to vote at all, they should be fine
Worse; they're protesting the fire extinguishers and waiting for a fire department that doesn't exist. https://twitter.com/Bri_Elyse1/status/1308463999240015872?s=20
I've been thinking ALOT - aloooooot - about 1920s and 30s Germany, the Weimar Constitution, and The Enabling Act over the last several days. But that's not a quick thing to get into. I'll come back to it later.
I will share these 4 things that have stuck with me, for now.
1. The '30s appeal of fascism reminds me of the romanticization of communism I see now. I know they're not the same, but communism has never actually been executed as intended in theory - it becomes totalitarian.
2 & 3. This sounds alot like the GOP and Trump, and the left not being able to get our shit together.
And 4.
Trump is a fascist. Full stop.
Oh, actually and 5... this is for my "THE CONSTITUTION WILL SAVE US!" people...
These were some of the highlighted sections of the constitution when your man assumed power.
Do not sleep.
When Trump and Hitler comparisons were made in 2016 people freaked the fuck out. It’s too far. It’s alarmist. Blah blah blah. But that’s because they were thinking of 1941 Hitler, not 1933 Hitler...
... and that stretch of time leading up to the Enabling Act in 1933, when Hitler declared he could move without congressional approval and fully took power, is SCARILY familiar.
Never forget: while he lost the election, he was still appointed to his gov’t office. Trump already had an edge up because he was elected President.
There’s a quote I was looking for that said something about Germany’s democracy being too strong, ppl too smart, to fall, and...
Everything Sham says here about indoctrination is true and valid. America’s an imperialist county. Our level of capitalism is dangerous.
To the point of my tweets, though, sitting out of 16 and this year doesn’t impede that. It advances it.

I also saw “I can’t believe people are mourning the death of that cop who would just as easily put them in jail” and it’s like, we’re mourning Roe vs Wade & gay marriage, actually.

Shit is imperfect, but that’s preferable to impossible.
