This is why Manchester United should be doing everything in their power to get Jadon Sancho.

Thread:
Diving straight in. Sancho has registered 17 goals and 16 assists in 32 Bundesliga appearances in 2019-20, his best-ever tally in a single season. That’s a goal every 134.8 minutes and an assist every 143.2 minutes – equating to a goal or assist every 69.4 minutes.
For United, Rashford leads the way with 17 goals and 7 assists at a rate of one every 110.6 minutes. Martial has a record of 17 goals and 6 assists, averaging every 114.7 minutes, while Greenwood has contributed 10 goals and an assist at an average of one every 119.3 minutes.
Sancho is a classical winger – a player that holds the width in the final third before looking to dribble on the inside or the outside, hitting the byline, and then getting a cross into the box. Therefore, he uses his close neat control, agility, and acceleration.
Passing is one of Sancho’s best attributes of his game. He has a pass success rate of 85.1%, an improvement on Rashford (77.3%), James (78.7%), and Martial (80.6%). Greenwood comes out on top in this respect, with a pass success rate of 86.3%.
Jadon’s passing and dribbling helps immensely to break down low blocks, in which we commonly face, most recently in the 3-1 loss again Palace. Jadon is terrific in high traffic areas of the pitch to use his close touch dribbling to get out of the tight press and pick a key pass.
In this graph, you can see just how successful Jadon Sancho is at dribbling into the box and playing key passes either into the box or around it. Another stat to point out is, how little Jadon Sancho is dispossessed, this shows his ability to beat defenders and complete passes.
United lack direct crosses from the wing and this is something Sancho does amazingly, as you can see from this graph made by ( @utdarena), this is Jadon Sancho’s completed crosses map. You can see how he beats players to go on the outside and cross both lofted and driven.
You can see the types of crosses into the box which Jadon favors, which is flat and lofted crosses from that same position. These high-level crosses are perfect for the likes of Martial and Rashford. Via ( @utdarena)
Sancho’s finishing is very good inside the box scoring all of his 17 goals in the league last season in the box. As you can see via the second graph, he doesn’t tend to take many risks shooting from outside the area which Rashford, Fernandes, and Greenwood do to a good level.
Sancho’s shot/goal map is very very similar to Martial to showing his striker like finishing. This goal map does show how he can beat a fullback and get in behind the backline of defense and use his trademark, low and curling finish into the corner to beat the keeper.
Although Sancho would cost up to £120m I seriously think he will be worth every single penny, his playstyle is everything which we are missing, from his tracking back to help out the full-back to his crossing completion areas, he fits everything United need on that right side.
This final graph shows how bad our right side is especially when James is playing. When Greenwood plays he slides more centrally to play side by side Martial. However, if you take Jadon Sancho’s average position this is where he plays in the current United system… Much better
There are obvious complications happening in the deal to acquire Sancho, but if United can get him, he would fit right in and provide healthy competition for Greenwood, Rashford and Martial. He would be a long-term fix for that right-hand side which we haven't had for years.
