Similar to Narine now. Jofra has hit 27(8), and he's probably (on a bad day) going to only concede 40.

So his net value, is around 13 runs conceded in 2.4 overs, in a chase of 216, with a wicket or two maybe.

Visualizing pinch hitters like this shows why they're so important
Removing the runs and balls from a wicket with zero batting value, from the players bowling tally, really highlights the players net impact. Pinch hitters only need 6 balls against a Match up.

12(6) means they can bowl 32 (24), and their net impact is 20(18).
The only thing to keep in mind is, the player has to select himself in the 11 only as a bowler. Because 0 consistency should be expected from his batting, that is, strategy cannot involve his contribution with the bat.

This is the most underused play I've ever seen in T20
It's going to be criminal this year if a AB-Virat partnership is broken by Krunal, Gopal, Rashid, Rana or anyone against whom they have 0 value batting wickets as bowlers. Matching up even a Umesh Yadav against 6 balls of Krunal makes more sense than playing him out.
Optimizing on strengths, and in a way outsourcing your weakness has to be the way to go when the option is available. It's not worth 'risking' AB to Krunal when he can probably take Hardik for 20.

Umesh having a go either works or things continue as they always were
The net differential doesn't take into account when the runs r scored, assuming it's easier to score in certain phases. But this is also when teams primarily should opt for it. Using a period with only 2 fielders out to "get in" could be a waste if others can clear infield easily
So Jofra's impact, in 27(8) in the last over is magnified more considering he's only given 9(12) when there are only 2 fielders outfield.

Apart from RCB, it would be terrible if RR don't use this too as their entire bowling line up is eligible for this
