I used to work as a senior recruiter & vetter at one of the world’s largest tech agencies

That experience + hiring talent for my own blogs helped me perfect this system

It’s a lot easier than you might think, so let’s get into it!

First thing’s first: How much money are you willing to spend

Most talented writers charge MIN 10 cents per word

But that’s likely gonna be too much for a blog

You can actually pay around 2-3 cents per word for good blog posts

That’s about $30 for a good length post

Then you need to find out where to hire from

I use http://Upwork.com"> http://Upwork.com because that’s where you’ll find the best talent at the best rates

I’ve used content mills like TextBroker & iWriter but they suck

Now it’s time to work out your job ad description

This is VERY important

You wanna present yourself as a high quality biz who knows what they want

Otherwise you’re gonna get trash applications

Good talent can sniff out a crappy job

Bottom feeders don’t care

Your job advertisement should include:

- A descriptive headline
- The exact hiring process
- How much you’ll be paying
- How long the project’s gonna last
- The type of writer you’re looking for

Ideally you come up with a template and optimize it over time

Now it’s time to choose the filters in your Upwork job ad

A lot of people breeze through this, but that’s a mistake

These settings are going to tell Upwork who gets to see your ad

You should know EXACTLY the type of candidate you want

Otherwise you’ll get crap candidates

Time to launch your job ad

I ALWAYS hire 4-5 writers to do one blog post each

Then choose the best to write the rest of my blog posts

The chances of you choosing the best up front is highly unlikely

This is your hiring process

Among the 4-5 writers, I keep track of how well they

- Write
- Communicate
- Hit the deadline
- Follow instructions
- Respond to revision requests

ALWAYS ask for revisions during this round

Rank them from 1-10 for all of this info in a spreadsheet

Once you find your writer, hire them for the rest of the work

It’s happened to me before that quality drops after this

So keep your runner ups on the back burner in case you need to fire and hire

And that’s it!

This process usually takes me a week at the most

Your writer should output MIN 2 posts per week

Within 2 months I have at least a year& #39;s worth of blog posts for a single blog

Which means my blog’s fully automated and rolling in the passive income
