The most overrated midfielder in the world: Paul Pogba.

There’s no doubt that Pogba has been disappointing since his arrival in England. In this thread we are going to show you how much of a flop the Frenchman has been in recent years and why his praise is unwarranted.

Paul Pogba has worked under 2 different managers at Manchester United. In the 3 and a half seasons he’s been at the club, he has scored 31 goals and assisted 31 times in 150 games, which is a goal contribution every 2.4 games.

Compare that to Kevin de Bruyne, who has managed to score 50 goals and provide 86 assists in the 209 games he has played for Manchester City, which is a goal contribution every 1.5 games. Makes you think

Now lets look at his goals and assists in 2018/19. They came against West Ham, Fulham , Burnley, Brighton, Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Everton and Leicester. 7 of which were pens.
Pogba's assists came against Wolves, Newcastle, Everton, Cardiff, Bournemouth, Spurs and Palace.

Pogba was the 6th most dispossessed player in the league last season, losing the ball on 89 times. The 5 other players who were dispossessed more were all attacking players including Mo Salah, Zaha, Richarlison, King and Mitrovic. Very poor from your so called world class CM.

Paul Pogba managed to create only 7 big chances in 35 games last season. Kevin De Bruyne created 11 in 19 games. Should this even be a debate any more?

Let’s talk about Pogba’s contribution to Manchester United. In 2016/17, United had a higher win % without Paul than with him. His greediness on the pitch, and
arrogance, has cost United many points. Pogba has also ghosted in many big games since his arrival, but not one United-

fan bats an eye because it’s the “teams fault”.

Since Pogba’s arrival, United have made little progress whatsoever. In-fact, they’ve backtracked. In the season Pogba joined, United had just finished 5th in the league after a difficult season with van Gaal. Since then they have finished 6th, 2nd and 6th again.

Is Pogba really giving an impact to the side?

All in all, for a price tag of £90 million, Pogba has been very average and is not playing at the level he should be playing. For people to still consider him as the best midfielder in the world is embarrassing. Hes a big problem for Man United.
