Today's thread is on Portishead - or rather, what the members of Portishead have been up to in the intervening years.
Most Portishead fans are familiar with the Beth Gibbons and Rustin Man collaboration, "Out of Season" (and if you're not you should give it a listen). But did you know that Rustin Man is actually Paul Webb, better known as the former bassist of Talk Talk?
Moving on, Geoff Barrow - responsible for pretty much all mixing/scratching/production on Portishead's albums - went on (like his fellow 90's icon Trent Reznor) to score films. You may know his work from "Ex Machina" and "Annihilation", both collaborations with Ben Salisbury.
Finally, arguably the "least-known" member of Portishead, Adrian Utley, has continued to work as a session musician and producer, most recently producing the alternative (to say the least) rock band Algiers' album, "The Underside of Power".
But Utley's done some interesting things here and there! For example he's credited with guitar on Goldfrapp's amazing "Ooh La La", did some session work on Massive Attack's "Heligoland", and (bringing us full circle in this thread), co-producd and performed on "Out of Season".
