re: the racist attack in Red Deer:

1) stop calling it Trumpism. this is born and bred Alberta fascism, stoked by Rebel Media and emboldened by our own government.

2) the RCMP's lack of intervention shouldn't come as a surprise. POC organizers have been saying this for decades.

3) denouncing what happened isn't good enough anymore. the only way we're going to beat back the rise of fascism is by OUT-ORGANIZING fascists. that means embedding anti-racist organizing in every union across the province and overwhelming racists with our numbers in the streets.

i'm not saying i'm convinced by every argument made here but how we respond to the alt-right determines its fate and we need to be strategic.
