currently attending a webinar with a doctor from John Hopkins and these are the updates around Covid-19 he has shared:

- while wearing masks are effective, quarantining is the most effective as we’ve seen in international countries
- folks who are attending large in door gatherings (church) or eating in restaurants are at a way larger risk of contracting Covid

- kids are DEFINITELY carriers of the virus and does not recommend sending your kids back to school if possible
- pandemic could last 12-14 months if folks properly social distance and quarantine (not sure if this an addition to the already 6 months we’ve been inside)

- would strongly recommend folks to get the flu shot this year
- would not recommend folks to volunteer for the first round of vaccine trials

- stresses that the quickest vaccine turn around we’ve ever seen took about 5 years

- recommends that hotels should wait 3 days in between booking hotel guests in the same room
- contracting the virus from surface levels is low

- does not recommend flying, says trains are safer than planes since most public transit systems are being cleaned with nobody riding them
- and yes you can get COVID-19 twice but might not have serious symptoms the second time around

- this is not a hoax, WEAR YOUR MASK
- you have a greater risk of contracting the virus in a bar than walking or running past someone who is not wearing a mask outside
- social distancing and basic hygiene practices has decreased the spread of the virus by 70% percent

- with the upcoming election and possible Supreme Court justice appointment, a rushed vaccine that doesn’t meet all FDA requirements could be created
- and he would not recommend taking said vaccine
