A THREAD FOR FEMINISTS.

In the book of Oxford Modern English of grade 4, there's a chapter in which a man wakes his wife and serves her a cup of tea. And gives her Rs. 1000/- so that she can buy anything on her way. The chapter revolves around the story of a 1000 rupee note /1

but there's a part where her husband comes to pick her after a the journey and lifts her bags and the luggage she was carrying with her.

Since many of us complain about the curriculum we have been teaching to our primary/secondary students. Some of the complaints are: /2

1. Our curriculum revolves around misogynistic views.
2. Women are portrayed as domestic creatures/a symbol of beauty and ugliness.
3. The discrimination we see today is inculcated into our curriculum due to the gender disparity it spreads.

As I mentioned the plot above /3

which clearly displays the altered gender roles where a woman serves tea, her husband is serving her instead. There are more stories like it (I will add the pictures in thread later) but curriculum is now somehow transferring a +ve attitude of men towards women which must be /4

appreciated. Moreover, feminists who spread hate against men can never change men by blaming them completely. I have seen several cases in which women are the culprits and men are victims. (No doubt statistically crime rate among men is higher) but who is responsible? /5

The man himself, you, I, we, media, the state, schools, and many other individuals and institutions who forced him to become a criminal. But unfortunately we forget other factors when we talk about ONE. So dear feminists, I suggest you to look around for some positivity /6

& things that can encourage men of our society to play a decent role so that we feel safer and more empowered. We all have different experiences, statuses, exposures, families even thinking. So how can you blame a specific segment of the society who still earns for you? /7

If not for you, then for your kids, for your future, for your past, for your luxuries and comfort. I oppose structures and I am against the exploitation system. Women and men are equal in the eyes of state and this is what a FEMINIST should demand! /8

1. Equal Wages (based on perfromances, more of an equity concept).
2. Equal education.
3. Equal political representation.
4. Equal freedom (of speech, of rights, of religion).
5. Right to Job, entrepreneurship, economic opportunities.

This is what we need from the STATE /9

which is unfortunately ruled by men. So STAND AGAINST THOSE MEN WHO HAVE SUPPRESSED YOUR RIGHTS AND NOT THE ONE ON TWITTER WHO IS JUST A LAYMAN AS YOU. Or the one who picks and drops you. Or the one who advises you.
For GOD SAKE, GROW UP & END THE GENDER WAR.
