@TheSims Today I played my 5000th hour in the Sims 4 - a very positive thread
That's 5000 hours of fun, imagination, interest, creativity and getting lost in the perfection or deviance of sims families and worlds.
5000 hours means that I roughly spend 1/10th of my year playing the sims. Probably not that healthy but few other games can provide that level of interest for that long - and I don't even play professionally
Lets just also consider that until March this year I only owned 1 stuff pack, 1 game pack, 3 expansion packs and I played completely vanilla
And yes people have every right to say that 5000 hours is 5000 hours too many with ashy and pixelated dark skin tones and lack of appropriate make up, clothes and outfits which suit darker skin tones - I know this is currently in development
But it also symbolises 5000 hours of FUN in a closed world, with no cars; babies which are effectively objects; no bunk beds and no farms - and I'm sure the game could support 5000 more hours of great gameplay, something which Sims 3, with all the above features, could never do
Sims 4's continued playability is the reason why I think it is infinitely better than its predecessors. Yes there are still some very necessary features needed so that absolutely everyone can realistically play as themselves - which is why cars and babies should not be a priority
So, as I finish this thread, I wanted to provide a different opinion to the recent negativity from the community and thank @thesims @simgurufrost and absolutely everyone who has made my 5000 hours of escapism, entertaining gameplay and building possible over the last 6 years đź’ž
