I was part of a National champion ag issues team in FFA. I’m a former state champion creed speaker. I was president of my 4H and FFA chapter. I learned all these arguments as a small child, was raised on them, and went out in the world to prove them right. And I couldn’t.

I wanted these arguments I’m fighting to be true. I was biased towards them. I went to the ends of the earth trying to prove them right. But they aren’t. And I can’t ignore that, none of us can. The truth always comes back to bite people who ignore it.
