The only way we'll get anywhere near active travel Birmingham deserves is with strong leadership and there seems to have been a real absence of it with the DfT's Emergency Travel Fund. The focus seems to be on gimmicks like eScooters instead of simple changes and infrastructure.
And then the little that has happened in Stirchley is being eroded by a lack of courage. Other cities have made active travel happen because of courageous leadership.

@WaseemZaffar you were spotted turning up to Stirchley meeting in a taxi on #WorldCarFreeDay is this true?
What is the point in all this talking the big talk for active travel, clean air and less congestion? When the city is offered the chance to make some real changes there is a lack of fortitude and things pushed to local councillors and activists. Those that win shout loudest.
