I feel like the constant deluge of “YOU’D BETTER VOTE” messages that are everywhere right now is almost bad for anyone who’s on the fence about if they even want to vote

Remember when you were a kid and you decided by yourself to do something but then you’re TOLD to do it by your parents and it makes you really not want to do it now because you feel like you’re being forced now? This is what it feels like.

I’m sure I’ll eventually go against my morals and vote for the less shitty dude but feeling like I’m being forced to vote makes me definitely not want to out of spite or something

The reason for this thread is I turned on my Xbox and there’s a fucking ad on the home screen telling me to vote. No one is going to suddenly change their mind because their Xbox told them to vote.
