Spoke with my friend of 24years who's been out of the country in the last 5years. We grew up together, went to church together, we were inseparable at some point.

While speaking on video call today, he said "Gospel, I'm tired. I just want to end it".👇🏽👇🏽
Now this is a very nice guy. Like, you see that niceness people always call "mumu", that's his level of niceness. He's a devout Christian who doesn't engage in the sins of pleasure most of us engage in. 6years ago when he was leaving the country, he had a discussion with
his girl's family. He told them he was coming back for her so he's coming to officially inform them. He did the introduction and had his parents through his brother go pay her bride price while he was away.
He sent her money in millions and cars. He was actually doing well in his venture overseas. He came back thrice but couldn't see her as she always had excuses.

He managed to secure a long vacation this year but Corona came and he couldn't travel.
He got into the country last week and went straight to the house he built for them to live in as a family, he found her pregnant with another man.

He broke down immediately. He managed to carry himself home to his family and asked why they didn't tell him what was happening.
They said they couldn't because they know what it could do to him.

He went to her family, the girls family shut their gates on him. They didn't even allow him access into their house. He said he could see through the gate two of the cars he sent for them.
I just linked him to a therapist colleague in Abuja for immediate assistance because the tears and brokenness in his voice made me drop a tear.

I really don't support long distance relationship, let alone distance marriage. He said he made sure he kept in touch
He called atleast three times a week and always did video calls with her every weekend. So she was just doing all this and collecting his money and properties.

I blame his family the most. Like, how the heck do you hide such from the person directly involved.
