Ending the ridiculous opinion of Cristiano Ronaldo being a poacher

Cristiano Ronaldo has the most assists in UCL history (36). Not sure how a poacher like Ronaldo could achieve that.

I’m surprised to see how a poacher ends up in the same company as top midfielders and renowned playmakers.

Cristiano’s heatmap in Serie A over the past 2 seasons. Apparently this man is a poacher who camps in the box all game.

Ronaldo obviously isn’t anywhere close to Xavi and Iniesta as playmakers, but this is still an impressive stat for someone who’s apparently a poacher.

Here’s another shocker, Ronaldo has the most recorded assists in one La Liga game.

He scored 2 goals and provided a record 4 assists against UD Almeria in 2011.

How could a poacher pull this off?

In the 2017/18 season, “poacher” Ronaldo wasn’t even top 5 in Europe for touches in the opposition box.

Take a peek at the heatmap on the bottom left corner.

Ronaldo scored 4 goals during this game, yet he was all over the pitch.

Not sure how a poacher could accomplish this.

On February 10th 2020, Karim Benzema recorded 132 assists for Real Madrid, surpassing the previous record of 131 assists held by none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.

I wouldn’t expect a poacher to top the assist charts of Real Madrid.
