Fast bowler @EdwardsFidel is not remembered for his batting, but under extreme pressure he made diamonds in a number of Tests.

Save #1: 2003 WI v Zim in Harare

Zim set WI 373 to win with 83 overs left.

When Streak, Price & Blignaut reduced @windiescricket to 204-9 in 71.1 overs, defeat looked certain.

Under intense pressure, @EdwardsFidel made 1 off 33, batting with Jacobs to save the Test.

Save #2: 2006 WI v India in Antigua

India set WI 392 to win in 95 overs. Kumble took 4 to reduce them to 277-8, when @EdwardsFidel came in with 10+ overs left.

Edwards made 1 off 36 balls, batting 3+ overs with No.11 Collymore as WI saved the Test with 1 wicket left!

Save #3: 2009 WI v England in Antigua

England set WI 503 to win in 4½ sessions.

Broad, Swann & Anderson reduced them to 353-9, when @EdwardsFidel came in.

He & Powell survived 10 overs before light was offered.

Edwards, with 5 off 26 balls, had saved another Test!

Save #4: 2009 WI v England in Trinidad

2 Tests later, England set WI 240 in only 2 sessions.

Anderson and Swann reduced WI to 109-8 with 3+ overs left.

@EdwardsFidel calmly played out 8 balls as he & Ramdin held on to draw the Test and give WI a rare series victory.

Save #5: 2011 WI v India in Dominica.

Day 5 midway through 1st session, WI were 8 down & only 113 ahead in 2nd inns, staring at defeat.

Cue more heroics from @EdwardsFidel, who scored 30 off 106, putting on 65 with Chanderpaul in 37 overs & ultimately saving the Test.

Of the 2393 Tests to date, only 22 have finished as a draw with 1 wkt left (<1% of Tests).

It is remarkable that in his 55-Test career, @EdwardsFidel played in 4 & saved all 4: thrice with the bat & once with the ball (Mumbai 2011, Ind on 240-8, needed 3 off the over).
