in my vision. it is 2032. bright was having an interview with woody. woody asked bright how is he doing. bright is in his mid-30s, an actor for 20yrs, his life already established. if in the past he was afraid of the world, of its unkindness and judgments, this time is different+

he told woody he’s doing great, that finally he has achieved an a-status as an actor. he never thought of acting as passion, but guess he bloomed where he was planted. woody has seen it all since 2gether started, and the tv presenter is very proud of bright.+

woody went on to ask his usual questions. how 2gether changed bright’s life, how he grew as an actor, how he keeps a private life away from the prying eyes of the public. bright just answered as coolly as he can, these are answers from the heart anyway, why he afraid?+

woody went on to ask bright about his former on-screen partner win metawin. around 5yrs ago, win decided to leave showbiz as he then had to start running the family business. it was an untimely departure, as win was still a sought-after talent in the industry.+

as win is already leading a private life, it is expected that questions abt brightwin as a ship will no longer be abound. why bother a private person, right? but this is woody who’s asking the questions. woody, one who has seen it all. bright knows woody has the privilege to ask+

“how is win doing,” woody asked the actor. “he’s doing great. his business is growing. he founded charities too,” bright shared with pride. the guy is really happy for his former co-actor. woody noticed the warm sparkle in bright’s eyes. win was special in bright’s life.+

“bright, it has been a dozen yrs since the world met you and win in 2gether, but we never had any answer to a question that everyone has been asking for so long,” woody started. bright knows where woody is heading. it’s his choice now if he’ll go the same way, or take a detour.+

seeing bright's composure, woody continued. "for 12yrs, people wondered about your relationship. you've always been consistent that you guys are just friends, bros even, but your actions said otherwise. win has already left the scene, but the magic of brightwin lived on..."+

"now i ask you the question: were you and win together?" woody finally dropped the bomb. bright, however, wasn't surprised. this has been asked numerous times in interviews. it's not as if he didn't know how to answer that.

but this is woody, the one who has seen it all.+

maybe he owes woody the truth.

"win and i were together," bright answered. woody already knew the answer, everyone in the industry knows, but for bright to admit it out loud is a pleasant shock. woody, as a gay man himself, knows what it's like to be free with your truth.+

but woody also noticed something with bright's answer.

"you mean, 'were,' like in the past?" woody curiously asked the actor. bright, though still composed, felt a small part of his heart twitch.

"yeah, in the past."

woody asked hows and whens. how and when it started, when and how it ended.

"we became together after the interview in june 8 2020. that was our interview with you," bright shared with woody. he then on described that win and him had to keep the relationship a secret for years.+

woody pressed on with more questions, asking on behalf of a world that never got answers for a decade. some questions bright evaded, others he laughed off. what was evident is that there was love that happened with brightwin, and the world wasn't mistaken for assuming its truth.+

"all these years woody, i have not thanked you yet for giving us june 8 2020, so thank you," bright said to woody after the interview. how could he lie to the person whose way of seeking truths led him and win to finally admit their feelings to each other?+

...or maybe he did lie to woody about something.

"oh by the way, woody," bright said before leaving. "there's one thing there that i lied to you about."

woody was all ears. then he chuckled.

as bright drove home, he reflected on his answers in today's interview. some parts he thought he shouldn't have answered, the others, he thought he could've answered.

when he arrived home, he saw old lady ame playing in her couch. he greeted her with a few strokes on her back+

and the old cat liked it much, as she usually does. the house smells like tom yum koong, perfect for a rainy day in bangkok.

"oh, you're home now?" the voice sounded a little irate. bright laughed it off.+

"hmmm so what's causing this attitude huh?" bright was clearly having his fun. the other person, however, is not playing along.

"i watched the interview...

did you really have to lie to woody like that?"+

bright laughed out loud. "so the reason you were angry was not because i said to the world that you and i were no longer together, but because i lied to woody?"

win was still not having it. "we owed woody the truth."+

bright laughed again but this time he went to his husband and crushed him in his arms. "i told woody i lied about us breaking up. i mean, we did for a time, so i technically did not lie there. but he knows we've been together since. he had quite a good laugh."+

win gave his husband a curtly smile, and went on with his task. bright just stood there amused.

"12 years with this guy, and he still makes me feel alive."+

the world didn't have to know the kind of love that bright and win are having, and they preferred it that way.

but woody, the one who has seen it all, the guy behind june 8 2020, deserved to know the love that he helped build, though unwittingly. xxx
