I hate to break it to you but sport-specific training is absolutely a thing, and if you say you’d use the exact same program to train a baseball pitcher as you would a speed skater then you’re either dumb or being purposely obtuse to make a misguided point.
There are so many variables to take into account both from the demands of sports and the demands of training, and if your response to that wide range of variables is “Nah, it’s all the same” then I’d argue you maybe don’t have a firm grasp on sport demands or training principles.
There’s always going to be overlap in training programs for different sports, but if there aren’t a few key differences based on the unique demands of different sports then something’s wrong
