We stand with the Mi’kmaq people of Mi’kma’ki, so called Nova Scotia, in their defence of their own land sovereignty, treaty rights, and their inherent autonomy to continue traditional fishing practices as they have done for 1000s of years.
We stand with them in their defence against environmental destruction and ongoing settler colonial violence.

If settler colonial states cannot defend the rights of First Nations people as established in treaties agreed upon by their own system’s highest authorities,
what then, can be said about your democracy? Your freedom? Your autonomous rights as a human being? We demand that citizens and law makers alike of so called Nova Scotia honour the treaties and defend the rights of Mi’kmaq people to sustain themselves as they have always done and
