ok so I really want to talk about this, first of all whoever made this tweet clearly doesnt know how the industry works, because if you did then you AT LEAST would know that its really not Ious choice to stay. he signed a contract, he cant just pack up and leave bc he doesnt++
++like the way hes being treated. im very sure that if it was possible he would've left as soon as he had the chance to do that. In case you didn't know, m*****! management is known for keeping 2 of its members that were part of one of their famous Irish boybands in the closet.
they were both dating while being in the band but they were not allowed to be public. they both had to put up with beards & fake relationships for the public eye so there wouldn't be any speculations about them being made because to the public eye they were "straight"
if this was done with a boyband before 1D what makes you think it still isnt happening up to this date?, and specially after Iou was under s**** c******* label for 5 more years after 1D parted ways. a lot of you love to say and point out how it is illegal to keep someone in the++
++closet while yes it is, sadly the industry has created a loophole around it. when you sign to a label you give them full right for them to manage ur public image, and that sadly includes if they dont want you to be "out" because it could potentially ruin ur "image" then theyre+
++not going to let you be publicly out. most of the times artist stay in the closet because of how homophobic the industry is. and its sad that being publicly "out" in the industry means that you wont be as successful as a straight artist.

I also want to say that if Iou is not straight and hes being kept in the closet, then we dont know what he identifies as so I would very much love it if all of you could stop saying hes "gay" because we dont know if he identifies as that. the only thing we can do is show our++

Now if you still need more proof about this, in a interview in which Li was talking about his "we are the quiet" one tattoos he said they had to be very secretive and were not allowed to say much because it could potentially ruin their image, or whatever image management was++
++trying to put out. in another interview z spoke out about how management wouldnt let him keep his beard because it would make him look "older" than the other guys, they also wouldn't let him bleach his hair.
now if something as dumb as appearances like color hair was this restricted and managed what makes you think his sexuality wasn't either??
sadly the industry is not all rainbows and beautiful colors like most articles and the media makes them see. once you start reading a searching up stuff and actually make up your own thoughts you can literally see how dark and disgusting it truly is.
since we're in this topic, i also want to talk about this tweet that a lot of you love to bring up whenever you see anything related, to larry or just anything related to Ious sexuality, which may I add is none of our business to openly discuss.
now the tweet was a response to an article that was made praising Iou for supporting Tim Cook, the ceo of apple, after he came out, saying how he was supporting Tim after coming out by wearing the apple rainbow T-shirt. the article never mentioned Ls sexuality.

now that you know the why hes @ that person, if you truly believe in this tweet, then im sorry but you are believing in a person that is not at all Iou
Iou is a person that has supported lgtbq+ community countless of times, he supports and loves all his lgtbq+ fans, but this tweet, this tweet jus contradicts everything hes known for, because what this tweet mainly says is very homophobic which is not what Iou is at all+
++ the fact that his answer to an article praising him for showing his support in which they never say or mention his sexuality was a "I am in fact straight" is very homophobic. and we all know Iou isnt about that, he always tries to show his support to++
++his lgtbq+ fans, I mean the man has a whole album without any pronouns in it because he wanted people to connect with his music without having labels. he wrote home which is a song a lot of lgtbq+ fans love and identify with. he has shown in multiple occasions his support++
++but you're telling me that you would like to believe in this bs tweet istead of his actions??? and all that its implying just because it fits into your narrative??????? then if you believe so hard on this then you're stanning a man that felt he needed to claim his sexuality++
++because he was being praised for supporting someone who just came out. and that just radiates an insecure toxic asf man. just because it came from his account doesnt mean hes tweeted it, heres an example of management tweeting for him,,,,while he was in a plane,,,,,sleeping,,,,
all im saying is that you need to do your research more before talking. you cant just say stuff without having ways to back it up. you all always use the same three words. "hes straight" "he has a gf" "stop inaviladiating his sexuality" but when we try to show you proofs or++
++show you stuff that has happened before, that have the same details and same circumstances you or challenge your beliefs you dont listen and im tired of it. you only listen to the parts that fit into your narrative and the parts that are not so ugly (if even those).
I respect that you dont want to be disrespectful towards Iou, I do, im not telling you youre wrong because u believe hes straight we all have different opinions and thats ok. whats not ok is being disrespectful and disgusting towards people that have different opinions than u do.
