I wish people could be more sympathetic towards kids on the internet.

Not like "you have to be their second gaurdian and moniter/protect them in lieu of their parents" or anything like that

Just like, SOME sympathy for how hard it is being a kid on thr internet
There was a good thread on the subject a while ago. It was specifically about kids sneaking into adult spaces, and how a majority of these kids were queer - in particular trans girls

Sex Ed is horrible, queer sex ed even moreso. No wonder kids look to fandom fot answers
And there is such a hypocrisy to it too. I was a kid/minor in the Mid 00s, you bet your ass I was reading SasuNaru smut on http://FF.net  and looking up lewd art on dA. I KNOW other people my age were the same so its so funny being like CHILDREN SHOULD BE MONITERED now
I get it. This argument, which the original post failed to address in full, is mostly about kids either unintentionally coming across NSFW or deliberately seeking out NSFW in order to repost and criticise it for being morally abhorrent and how NSFW artists should disappear. Igi
Instead I just see people mocking the mere concept of kids on the internet, and instead say that their parents should moniter them if they want to be online. Parents who may very well be abusive or queerphobic and hurt their kid if they ever found them looking at queer NSFW stuff
Can it be traumatic for kids/can they come away with unhealthy ideas. Absolutely. Do random strangers online have to suddenly become makeshift guardians for strangers on the internet - especially ones who egage in bad faith? Of course not

But please guys, have SOME sympathy here
