A little thread about me for the new follows:
Before I became a working man I was a @VandyBoys infielder then played a couple years in the Minors

I always got the Charlie Hustle type awards because I tried hard

Nobody thought of me as particularly talented even though my state line wasn’t bad
Although I majored in Econ at Vandy, my real major may as well have been applied psychology

Through scout, coach & player interactions, I came to understand the human condition as primal

I also came to realize the massive advantage that comes with being in shape & speaking well
So when my career came to an end, I knew if I wanted to be successful, I owed it to myself to stay in shape

Funny thing happened when I started applying for jobs though

It was actually HARDER to get one after getting drafted to the pros
Harder b/c I lost access to campus recruiting & my path to Wall St seemed blocked

Fortunately I got to know a hedge fund manager who was a fan of my college team

He was ex Goldman Sachs, worth a hundred million dollars & and flew me around in a private jet
It was at 24 y.o that I came to see the world as an incredibly corrupt place, thanks to his tutelage

After spending 1.5 years working at his fund in Hong Kong, I decided to bet on his investment thesis & return home to Silicon Valley

We believed it would rain cheap money
I thought that meant an easier path to riches

Knowing little about tech, I convinced myself I could talk my way into a job at Google if I looked good enough in a custom tailored suit

Delusional as that seemed, it worked
I spent 6 years at Google, through the good times and the crazy times

And the whole time I trained hard in their gym and ate a ton of free food in their cafeterias

I thought I looked like an athlete, but in retrospect I had more fat to lose than I realized
After stumbling across a training change that wasn’t supposed to work for fat loss, I noticed it absolutely worked for fat loss

So I kept at it and began applying the principles I learned to other areas of my training
I also began tweaking my diet, eating more intuitively and eliminating fattening foods unless they tasted really good

Through a series of tweaks that science said were not supposed to work, I noticed it was WAY easier for me to maintain 5% body fat than when I maintained 10%
I realized how many ppl struggle w/ diets and training & 2 years ago I decided if there was 1 thing I could share with the world, it was the series of steps I’ve taken to eat delicious food & never go hungry

While enjoying my training

And staying stage lean w/o cutting calories
