UPDATE: In order to deliver benefits to New Yorkers as quickly as possible and to avoid the technical issues experienced by our banking partner KeyBank last week, the second and final round of LWA payments will be distributed over a number of days this week.

Details in thread.
📢 Please note that payments should appear in your DOL payment history on the date below.

As with all benefit payments, it will then take 1-2 days for the money to reach your bank account or debit card.
If you were told you pre-qualified for LWA benefits, DOL will release your payments on the following days:

• Tue. 9/22: $300 payments for benefit week ending 8/23
• Wed. 9/23: $300 payments for benefit week ending 8/30
• Thu. 9/24: $300 payments for benefit week ending 9/6
If you were informed that you must submit a certification to receive LWA funds:

• If you submit your certification via DocuSign or by calling 833-491-0632 before Tue. 9/22 at 5pm: DOL will release all LWA payments you are eligible for (up to 3 payments of $300) on Thu. 9/24.
If you were informed that you must submit a certification to receive LWA funds:

• If you submit your certification after 5pm on Tue. 9/22: DOL will release all LWA benefits you are eligible for on a rolling basis starting Fri. 9/25.
Reminder: Under federal guidelines, LWA benefits are only available to individuals who are unemployed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The federal government has only made funding available for a total of 6 weeks for benefit weeks ending 8/2, 8/9, 8/16, 8/23, 8/30 & 9/6.
Eligible New Yorkers will receive $300 for each of those weeks that they were unemployed AND received unemployment benefits.

If the federal government makes funding available for additional weeks, we will notify those who are eligible.
