Hey #MedTwitter! I'm a little hesitant to post this because I have never posted something like this before, but I would love to hear some insight on medical students on clinical rotations who have been affected by COVID. A thread. (1/6)
I arrived to my first cardiology shift this morning to learn the rotation has been canceled because we are officially in the "Red Zone." I'm still waiting to learn my fate for this rotation and future ones at this hospital. I also don't know what the plan is for tomorrow. (2/6)
I completely understand these are unforeseen circumstances that are out of our control and I know there aren't definite answers at this time, but I have to admit the situation is frustrating. I was really excited to be on my first in-patient rotation. (3/6)
To those who have been affected similarly by COVID, I am here for you, I empathize with you, and I am beside you. Please feel free to DM me. I am willing to listen and support if anyone needs it! (4/6)
I want it to be known that this thread is certainly not meant to undermine those who have been impacted by COVID in severely detrimental ways. Just wanted to communicate and show my support while connecting with other students affected similarly out there. (5/6)
I appreciate all of the individuals currently on the frontlines and would love to help if I could!! End thread. (6/6)
