Why David Alaba (in my opinion) would be a perfect solution to Manchester United’s defensive problems...

Thread:
David Alaba has one more year left on his contract at Bayern Munich. With a transfermrkt valuation of £50mil, I do feel this signing could be acquired in a region of £30 million, therefore, making it a good value for money transfer. At 28 Years old this man is at his peak.
Despite Alaba playing LB for the majority of his career, he has been converted in the past year to a CB, to make way for Davies at LB. So his versatility could be very useful as a short term fast fix for United’s holes in both left-back and centre back.
We’re going to start with Alaba’s ability to play left-back. Alaba’s touch and move short passing playing style is very useful for full-backs in the modern game. This is his passing statistics compared in a graph with both United full-backs, Shaw and Williams.
Alaba would be a completely different type of signing to Telles from Porto for United. Alaba is a lot more assertive and patient with his build-up and likes to build play with his partnering midfielders and attackers where as Telles is more of a 1-on-1 demon.
His pass completion percentage per average 90 minutes is a high of 88% which is higher than both Luke Shaw and
Brandon Williams.

Even though tackling isn’t Alaba’s most impressive stat, his completion percentages per 90, are higher than both Full Backs at 77%.
Moving onto Alaba at Centre Half, his left-footed attribute would sit perfectly alongside with either Harry Maguire, Bailly, or even Mengi. Alaba would add a left-footed Centre Half to Manchester United's arsenal which they don't have already.
David Alaba concedes an average of 0.79 goals for every 90 minutes that he's on the pitch. His Clean Sheets ratio is currently at 50%. That means David Alaba has kept a Clean Sheet in 14 matches out of the 28 that he's played in at Centre Back for Bayern.
On top of all this, David Alaba is a serial winner and this is something that the United team does lack; winners in the dressing room. Alaba has won 9 Bundesliga titles, 2 Champions Leagues, and 4 German cups with a Club World Cup to top it off.
