If you have a photo you want to upload or send from your desktop / laptop, create a version that wipes this data:
- right click the pic, select properties
- click Details tab and click "remove properties.." option at bottom
- Click OK to wipe all and create a clean copy

If sharing a pic via iPhone, you can toggle off location data by:
- click the share icon
- at top you will see "location included"
- next to that, click "Options"
- scroll down to turn OFF 'location'
*Note that this only works if you share using the iOS Photos app

Note that social media platforms claim that when you upload photos, it strips the EXIF metadata
