I'm not here to gatekeep or tell others what to write and what not to write but please don't use the aspec identity as a character flaw and something that needs to be "cured or fixed" by the right partner. boundaries still exist and just because your character is sex positive +
doesn't mean that once they meet "The One" everything will be fine & their whole identity will disappear. portraying aspec characters as frigid and uptight is so harmful in more ways than one and I personally hate that there are people out there who view me who I am as anything +
less than myself just because I'm on the spectrum. I get that you want diversity in what you write and you want to explore more but please, do your proper research. ask your friends who are aspec about their experience and what it's like. just please try to learn before +
writing something from an uneducated pov because the misrepresentation sets every positive step backwards and it could be very triggering to your readers. so as an aspec person, my only request is that you do your research. nothing more.
a special thank you to @yeongwonhanrain who helped me unpack what I was thinking and put into words. love you!
