tips on how to get good grades while keeping up with bts, a thread that may (hopefully) help student armys:
DISCLAIMER: i am not a teacher nor am i a professional of studying methods?. what works for me may NOT work everyone, as everyone is obviously different. everything written here has been used by me and judged as useful and effective. if you want more tips/have questions lmk<33
1- first of all, you need determination as well as motivation. no need to pressure yourself, try to make studying enjoyable for you! it sounds quite hard, but it can get easier if you start by taking pretty notes for example. :) or fixing achievable goals!! (+)
(+) like for example : 'today's goal = read 5 pages of X book',,, plus having pretty notes makes you want to study more right? just compare these two pictures ahah (taken from weheart it and google)
2- having nice stationery can be a great factor to encourage you to study more often and effectively. you don’t even need to spend 100 dollars on it, just having colored pens or highlighters for example can be amazing, in my opinion!
3- now, how to keep up with bts (AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE at least) while studying/getting good grades? the answer is organization probably ahah. it may sound ridiculous to some, but it really is all about that for me at least :D
4- i always check BTS’ weekly schedule and try to fit it in my timetable! i try to adapt their schedule to mine and vice-versa, idk if understand. however, you are not obliged to sacrifice your sleep bc there’s a performance at 4 AM. u can always check it out later, right? :(
5- your studies may come first (not 'must' cause we have different priorities), but you gotta divide the time spent studying/ with bts however you want to divide it! i personally do 50-50 for now, but it will maybe become 70 (studying) or 30 (bts) at some point…*cough* exams.
6- now, let’s get into how you can possibly get good grades! once again, it’s all about organization and motivation. in order to lessen the time spent studying -
- i would recommend you to be attentive during lessons, and then re-read the notes you took during the day, once your school day is over or before sleeping. take all the time that you need, as long as it suits you, ok? <33 bts is proud of you, always!
7- for your hmw, you may try to plan it all in advance or/and do it as soon as it’s given to you. it will not only prevent risks of procrastination but it will also lessen the tasks you’ll have to do later on.
8- now, let’s see how do we get em good grades!! just for quick information, my GPA is usually above 16/20 (idk how that works in other countries, but in france we count like this.) i just want to tell you how i actually maintain it ahah.
9- for tests and exams, i mainly use TWO methods! the first one being called the “active recall”. basically, all you gotta do is grab your notes/notebook and a laptop (or wtv you prefer) in order to type your lessons into questions. you also need to create a color code: -
- for the unanswered questions, questions you have a hard time answering to, etc. there are lots of youtube vids abt it, let me know if you want me to link any!
10- re-reading and replying to the questions out loud helps a lot too!! trust yourself and your brain (lmao, mine’s damaged asf alr but wtv), but most importantly stay consistent and have SPACED REVISIONS!!
11- there's also the “repetition method” which is about dividing your revisions into multiple layers! there're 4 steps:
- 1st layer, ⅔ of the time u have left before the test/exam: read your lessons in-depth, immerse yourself in the subject.
- 2nd layer, ⅓: revise moderately.
- 3rd layer and 4th layer: you skin revise/revise intensely and then the days preceding the exam/test REST!! don’t try to revise again and again, trust yourself and your hard work!
12- Last few tips:
- listen to music while studying if it can help you concentrate, motivate yourself!
- don’t hesitate to ask for help
- don’t revise last minute, always plan your revisions ahead
- sleep well if you can, don’t pressure yourself and stay hydrated <3
13- Regarding keeping up with BTS:

- check their weekly schedule (you know what’s planned already) and try to fit it into your own schedule

- for the surprise lives/content you can check it out after school (i personally always check my phone at 12AM KST lmao)
i also personally take 2 hours of my day to watch bts contents... it's literally written on my planner lol.
and following accounts that update regularly may help ( @blackxagustd for exemple!!)
